PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY

Exploring the Physics - Chemistry Department

OVERVIEW

The Department of Physics and Chemistry was established in 2007, our department boosts a rich legacy of imparting quality education and conducting successful research in applied science through DST-SERB, UGC and CSIR. Comprising highly qualified and dedicated faculty members. Our department is driven by a passion for education and research. Our department has 24 eminent and experienced faculty members, 3 of us have completed post doctoral fellowship from various foreign universities and 13 hold doctorate degrees, while one is currently pursuing Ph.D. The Physics and Chemistry laboratory provides students with basic knowledge in theory and help acquire the skills in laboratory practice which is useful to them in the subsequent years. We believe in quality of education to set up ethical and professional standards for tomorrow’s better society.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The Engineering Physics and Chemistry Labs have a wide range of equipment. The labs are aptly prepared to impart education in physics and Chemistry in a neatly designed, spacious and well-ventilated laboratories. They provide students with a practical approach towards the various techniques used in engineering application. Practical awareness is inculcated and students are trained both quantitatively and qualitatively during the lab sessions so that their understanding and problem solving abilities can be enhanced.
