UNVEILING THE BRILLIANCE

Exploring the ECE Department

OVERVIEW

The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department was established in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 in UG program. The intake is enhanced to 90 in 2009 and to 120 in 2010 and to 180 in 2012 and to 240 from 2013 onwards. The UG program is granted NBA Accreditation in the year 2016 for a period of 3 years and later extended to another 3 years up to 2022.The department again received NBA in the year 2023 with validation up to 2025.The Institution is granted Autonomous Status since 2020 by UGC. M.Tech Program was started with 24 students intake in the specialization of VLSI Design from the academic year 2013-14. Currently the department offers four year B. Tech course with the student intake of 480 and PG program in VLSI Design with an intake of 12. JNTUA Anathapuramu granted a research centre to the department in 2022-23.
The department has highly qualified, well experienced teaching faculty and sufficient technical staff. The department has exclusive student chapters of IETE student Forum (ISF) and IEEE like IEEE Communication Society (Com-Soc) and Signal Processing Society (SPS). A technical association, Professional Association of Communication Enthusiastics (PACE) of ECE has been formed by the students of the department for the benefit of students to impart additional knowledge in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering apart from the prescribed curriculum. Department has been listed as one of the Nodal Center under the Outreach Program of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS-ISRO).
The department has state of art laboratories and knowledge sharing centre with latest software and advanced equipments to provide skill oriented training along with academic skills. To encourage the students and faculty to carry the projects in the field of latest technologies, the department established VLSI Cadence Lab through AICTE-MODROBS, NI Lab, MAT LAB which provides ample scope to enhance the research skills. The Department periodically organizes seminars, symposia, workshops, guest lectures and FDPs for the benefit of both the students and the faculty.

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been providing excellent opportunities for the students to explore & exhibit their academic, co-curricular & extra-curricular activities. I believe that my team will help the students to graduate with flying colors and have a promising future. If you are looking for an undergraduate or postgraduate program, I invite you to the ECE department at SVCE.
