OVERVIEW
The Information and Technology (IT) course in Engineering stands out as a uniquely dynamic and impactful educational experience, blending the realms of technology, innovation, and problem-solving. This course embodies the fusion of theoretical knowledge with hands-on practicality, nurturing a breed of engineers who are not just adept at coding and configuring, but also possess a profound understanding of the underlying principles. Today’s digitally equipped world has a major part of its work in the Information Technology arena, offering more scope for innovative research that best influences the human existence for good. The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2007 offering B.Tech. in IT with a modest intake of 60. The intake of students has been increased from 60 to 180 during the year 2022-2023. Furthermore, the program B.Tech. IT was accredited by NBA in 2020. The IT course also bridges the gap between academia and industry. Renowned practitioners and experts are often invited to deliver guest lectures, providing students with insights into real-world applications and trends. Additionally, internships, industry projects, and Hackathons are seamlessly woven into the curriculum, enabling students to engage with the corporate sphere and gain practical exposure.
